SOCAR Exported Nearly 1mln Tons of Oil
Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 February / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported nearly 930,000 tons of oil in January, the company reported.
In January the export via Baku-Novorossiysk made up 256,000 tons compared to 4,000 tons in January 2007. The oil via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline was nearly not exported at the beginning of last year due to the termination of gas import from Russia and the transition to mazut of the electric power stations.
In January some 674,300 tons of oil was exported via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
Oil exportation has not been realized via western Baku-Supsa pipeline since November 2006 due to repair works. In January oil was not exported in the direction of the Georgian Port of Batumi.
