Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, 2 December / Trend corr. S.Kurbanov/ Official delegation of the Czech Republic, comprising curators of key departments of the Foreign Ministry, is holding negotiations with their Turkmen counterparts and leaders of Fuel and Energy Complex (FEC), particularly on gas cooperation, in Ashgabat on 2 December.
Czech will be chairing at the European Union (EU) during upcoming six months. The Turkmen Foreign Ministry will receive members of the delegation, as well as will hold some meetings in Ministries and Departments of the country, including the Fuel and Energy Complex.
The EU is interested in export of the Turkmen gas on long-term base to diversify consumption market, and first to reduce dependence on the Russian natural gas.
According to Ashgabat, these negotiations target clearly to specify directions of future development of intergovernmental dialogue and to maintain Prague's interest in establishment of full-scale assistance with Turkmenistan on bilateral and multilateral base, first, within the framework of realization of the EU's strategy for Central Asia.
