Energy Pro Georgia builds new transmission facility

Energy Pro Georgia will begin constructing a new transmission facility in the Khelvachuri province on April 2. President Mikheil Saakashvili, Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri and company officials will take part in the opening ceremony, the Energy Ministry told Trend .

The new transmission facility will allow energy to be exported to Turkey.

The 20-kilometer facility will connect the Batumi substation with the Mutarli substation.

The project costs $20-$25 million.

The construction will end in 6-7 months.

The transmission facility will employ 400 individuals.
