Iran's gasoline consumption reduces

Iran 's daily gasoline consumption reduced by 17 million liters per day due to development of CNG stations in the country, Mehr News Agency quoted Manager of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company's (NIOPDC) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Program Shahram Assadpour , as saying.

"At present, more than 17 million cubic meters of CNG are distributed in the country and an average of 17 million liters of gasoline reduced per day," he said.

More than 2.5 million duel fuel vehicles are at the transport system to reduce gasoline consumption.

Iran cut a part of subsides for commodities and energy products in December 2010.
