Kazakh Atyrau refinery produced 582,000 tons of high-octane gasoline in 2016 which is 87,400 tons more than in 2015, the press-service of the refinery reported.
Oil processing in the reporting period hit 4.76 million tons of oil - less that oil processing in 2015 when it hit 4.87 million tons, but 0.8 percent more than the target plan for this period.
Refining depth at the Atyrau refinery increased to 65.2 percent in 2016 compared to 59.2 percent in 2015.
The share of light oil products hit 45.5 percent of total production in 2016 compared to 41.5 percent in 2015.
Besides Atyrau refinery there are two more huge refineries in Kazakhstan – operating in Shymkent and Pavlodar.
