Repairs at Uzbekistan’s Shurtan gas chemical complex to complete

Current repair work has been completed at the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex.

Technological devices and equipment have been put into operation in stages at the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and have begun to work as usual.

In addition, qualified specialists from the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex and Siemens carried out and commissioned a major overhaul of one of the main technological units of the compressor of the D gas turbine at the complex itself.

Earlier it was reported that ongoing scheduled repairs will help prevent possible unforeseen disruptions in production processes, as well as ensure long-term high-quality and efficient operation of technological devices and equipment.

Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex was put into operation in 2001. The complex is capable of processing up to four billion cubic meters of raw gas per year and producing up to 3.5 billion cubic meters of methane, more than 125,000 tons of polyethylene pellets, 100,000 tons of liquefied gas, 100,000 tons of gas condensate, about 1,500 tons of granulated sulfur and over 2,500 tons of finished pipes and connecting parts.
