Iran launches CNG tank factory

Iran's Defense Minister has inaugurated a mega CNG, oxygen, and industrial tanks factory in Qazvin Province with a production capacity of 250,000 tanks per year.

"The following industrial factory in the private sector has started to operate and by using young workforce and supports of Defense Ministry and experts in defense industries," said Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

In this industrial complex, two production lines are simultaneously producing various types of oxygen and industrial tanks (CNG). The required raw materials are supplied and produced domestically with the efforts of industrialists.

The factory is able to produce 10 to 130 liters tanks for various uses in industrial and medical sectors and the CNG tanks of this factory are currently being used in national projects and in the dual-fuel conversion of 1.5 million public transport vehicles.

"The launch of the following factory as the largest CNG tank producer in West Asia region is an achievement for Iran. The factory is equipped with the latest technology and testing equipment, technical laboratories, and obtained valid certificates, so the final product has optimal quality," he noted.

"The factory has obtained the national and international certificates that indicate the high level of production quality. The products would reduce air pollution in big cities and help to preserve the environment," he added.
