The Institute for International Energy Studies of Iran signed an agreement on the establishment of the 'Gas House' (gas-related research center) on March 9, 2022, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
The agreement was signed between head of the Institute for International Energy Studies under the Iranian Oil Ministry Mohammad Sadegh Jokar and Deputy Oil Minister and the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Chegeni.
The task of the 'Gas House' is to continuously analyze gas issues and problems at the national and international levels, to prepare and present solutions for effective gas-related decisions, to create favorable conditions for timely decisions, and so on.
The purpose of establishing the 'Gas House' is to meet the research needs of the National Iranian Gas Company, to find new and effective solutions, to develop joint cooperation, to exchange experiences and etc.
Cooperation between the NIGC and the Institute for International Energy Studies of Iran in the Gas House will consist of five areas.
"Analysis of Iran's natural gas and related products trade, development of plans to determine the demand for natural gas and related products, reduction of gas consumption in the country, application of innovations at the NIGC, as well as, development of management, human resources, social responsibility activities are among the mentioned areas,” the report said.
