BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Iran's thermal power plants are maximally supplied with gas at present, Manager of the Dispatching Department of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammad Reza Joulaei told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

According to Joulaei, on average, 280 million cubic meters of gas are supplied daily to Iran's thermal power plants.

“Meanwhile, on June 20, about 300 million cubic meters of gas were supplied to country’s thermal power plants. Of this, about 282 million cubic meters were supplied through pipes, while the rest - in liquid form,” he said.

The director also added that if no problems occur and the country's natural gas production continues according to the program, maximum gas supply to thermal power plants will continue.

“Currently, all the gas produced in the country (about 700 million cubic meters per day) is fully consumed. About 200 million cubic meters of gas are consumed in residential and commercial facilities, while 145 million cubic meters - in industrial facilities,” Joulaei noted.
