BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. An oil refinery of medium capacity will be built in the Ulytau region of Kazakhstan, Akim (governor) of the region Berik Abdigaliuly said during the presentation of the comprehensive plan until 2026, Trend reports citing the Kazakh government.

The draft plan was developed following the instructions of the head of the state. It's necessary to attract 1.3 trillion tenge of investments ($2.9 billion) for the implementation of the plan, which will allow to carry out more than 120 activities in various fields.

Thus, nine new plants and industrial complexes, and 11 investment projects for the manufacturing and processing of agricultural products will be launched. In the field of housing and communal services, it's planned to build and modernize 130 kilometers of heating networks, 300 kilometers of water supply networks and 127 kilometers of sewerage networks are provided for.

Special attention will be paid to the intensive development of the metallurgy industry and agriculture. Thus, at the expense of private investment, it's planned to build an oil refinery of medium capacity, a bioelectric power plant and a chemical plant.

Furthermore, it's planned to build Thermal Power Plant-2 Jezkazgan city and modernize Thermal Power Plant No.1 in Satbayev city.
