BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 7. In total, Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced 143 billion cubic meters of natural gas from March 21, 2022, to December 7, 2022, Executive Director of the SPGC, Ahmad Bahush said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

The director noted that the company supplied more than 123 billion cubic meters of sweet gas to the country's gas network within the mentioned period.

Bahush also added that the company produced 164 million barrels of gas condensate for the reporting period.

“In addition, over 333,000 tons of sulfur were produced in the company from March 21, 2022, to December 7, 2022,” he said.

According to Bahush, currently, the company produces more than 570 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Iran’s South Pars Gas Company processes rich gas extracted from the South Pars gas field.

The South Pars gas field (called North Dome in Qatar) is a joint gas field between Iran and Qatar. The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable. Iran's share in the field is 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
