BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Iran's South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced more than 186 million barrels of gas condensate, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), an official of the company Ali Ahmadi told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

Ahmadi noted that the company's plants produce more than 700,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.

He added that gas condensate produced in the company is transported to the country's oil refineries and petrochemical plants.

“In addition, the company has the capacity to produce more than 22,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) daily. The produced LPG is mainly exported to East Asian countries,” the official said.

As for the SPGC’s sulfur production, Ahmadi pointed out that currently, the company has the capacity to produce 2,300 tons of sulfur per day. In total, more than 480,000 tons of sulfur were exported to East Asian countries as a result of maximum production in 9 months.

According to him, more than 570 million cubic meters of natural gas are produced daily by the company's plants.

Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) processes rich gas extracted from the South Pars gas field. During March 21, 2022 and December 7, 2022, the company processed more than 143 billion cubic meters of gas, as well as produced 164 million barrels of gas condensate and over 33,000 tons of sulfur.

The South Pars gas field (called North Dome in Qatar) is a joint gas field between Iran and Qatar. The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable. Iran's share in the field is 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
