BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Azerbaijan exported approximately 6.514 billion cubic meters of gas, totaling around $5.419 billion from January through April 2023, compared to 7.233 billion cubic meters ($4.178 billion) in the same period of 2022, Trend reports citing Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee (SCC).
Azerbaijan's revenue from natural gas exports increased by 29.7 percent year-on-year.
The SCC data shows that the share of natural gas in Azerbaijan's total export volume during the reporting period amounted to 43.06 percent, compared to 35.34 percent the previous year.
Azerbaijan began gas deliveries to Europe through the Southern Gas Corridor on December 31, 2020. This year, Azerbaijan plans to export 12 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.
