AIOC Increases Oil Pumping via Baku-Novorossiysk in November

Oil&Gas Materials 3 November 2006 16:39 (UTC +04:00)

In November 2006 385,000 tons of oil will be pumped via the Baku-Novorossiysk northern oil pipeline, Trend reports. 295,000 tons of the total volume fell on the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), which produces oil from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields.

75,000 of the total crude delivery by AIOC was comprised by Azerbaijani oil, which will be shipped by Glencore Energy. The SOCAR will also deliver 90,000 tons of oil in November to Glencore Energy.

Earlier, the SOCAR intended to pump 1mln barrels of oil cargo via this pipeline in November. However, the tender was canceled due to AIOC's priority right for pumping. Increase of oil pumping is linked with cessation of oil pumping via the Baku-Supsa time for conduct of technical work.
