As at July 1, 2019 total value of pension savings in Kazakhstan amounted to 9.99 trillion tenge, which is seven percent or 615 billion tenge more, than in the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to press office of Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) of Kazakhstan.
Thus, some 9.8 trillion tenge of pension savings account for mandatory pension contributions, some 220 billion tenge account for mandatory professional pension contributions, some 1.9 billion tenge account for voluntary pension contributions.
Furthermore, total number of personal pension accounts amounted to 10.3 million accounts with an increase of 1.2 percent since the beginning of the year. The number of technical accounts decreased by seven percent during reporting period and equaled 201,800 accounts.
During 1H2019 new personal pension accounts were opened for 155,821 contributors. Total value of pension payments exceeded 107.6 billion tenge in 1H2019.
Net investments income accrued on the accounts of contributors amounted to 257.5 billion tenge in 1H2019. The return of the pension assets during 12 months equaled 9.4 percent with 5.4 percent of inflation. Thus, real positive return of pension assets equals four percent.
