The Asian Development Bank (ADB) predicts Azerbaijan's GDP to grow by 1.9 percent in 2021, despite a decrease by 4.3 in 2020, Trend reports citing the ADB’s Asian Development Outlook-2021.
According to ADB forecasts, Azerbaijan's economy will grow 2.5 percent in 2022.
“A slowdown in the COVID-19 pandemic and a recovery in domestic and foreign demand will have a positive impact on economic growth,” the bank experts say.
Earlier, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, announced the task of doubling the country's GDP by 2030 in accordance with the new 10-year development plan.
