Iran's raw steel exports amounted to 2.53 million tons in total during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, this is an increase of 52 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“In addition, Iran exported 1.16 million tons of steel products over the first four months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 104 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
Moreover, Iran imported 268,000 tons of steel products within the mentioned period. This is a decrease of 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the report, Iran exported 415,000 tons of sponge iron in the 4 months. This is an increase of 569 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 62,000 tons of sponge iron were exported in Iran in the same period last Iranian year.
