BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan rose in February 2022, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of the country (CBA).

According to the CBA, this figure amounted to 23.01 billion manat ($13.5 billion), up by 3.4 billion manat ($2 billion) or 17.47 percent compared to February 2021 (19.58 billion manat or $11.5 billion).

During the reporting period, the cash money supply in circulation (M0) increased over the year by 24 million manat ($14.1 million) or 0.2 percent – from 10.458 billion manat ($6.15 billion in February 2021) to 10.48 billion manat ($6.16 billion).

Meanwhile, the broad money supply (M3) grew by 5.3 billion manat ($3.1 billion) or 18.56 percent, to 33.88 billion manat ($19.9 billion) against 28.57 billion manat ($16.8 billion) a year earlier.

Thereat the transaction money (M1) for the year has risen by 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion) or 15.5 percent – from 16.9 billion manat ($9.9 billion) to 19.6 billion manat ($11.5 billion).
