BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. Iranian banks have issued loans worth approximately 131 trillion rials (about $3.1 billion) to start-up companies in the country for the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), Trend reports, citing the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the report, the amount of loans provided by Iranian banks to start-up companies for the 9th month increased by 110 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
The mentioned amount of loans was issued to 636 start-up companies in Iran.
Within the 9th month, Iran's Mellat Bank provided loans worth 22.3 trillion rials (about $531 million), Bank Tejarat Iran - 15.2 trillion rials (about $362 million), and Bank Melli Iran - 12.3 trillion rials (about $293 million) to the country’s start-up companies.
Overall, Iranian banks provided loans worth 1.13 quadrillion rials (about $27 billion) to 1,792 start-up companies in the country, during the first 9 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022).
