The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies will work to form the price policy on Internet market, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizadeh said during a meeting of Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC).
A new concept of broadband Internet in the regions for 2011-2013 will play a direct role. It aims to extend the use of broadband Internet and make it more reasonable to end users.
The telecommunication services in Azerbaijan will be even more reasonable after telecommunications satellite Azerspace is launched and information superhighway "East-West" is created.
Own satellite will cover telecommunications services throughout the country. It will play an important role in increasing the number of users of telecommunication services, he said.
Azerspace satellite is designed to provide digital broadcasting, Internet access, data transmission, multiservice VSAT networks and governmental communication.
"East-West" project is intended to connect a total of 20 countries and play an important role in the development of the region. The project will eliminate the information gap between countries within West-European and the Pacific basins.
