Production capacity of Sumgait Technology Park (STP) can fully meet the domestic needs of Azerbaijan in the fiber optic cable, STP told Trend Jan. 21.
Products manufactured by the STP's facilities are currently purchased by the country's telecommunications operators, and its deliveries rose significantly in the last year.
The main advantage of local producers is the price for customer, which is one third lower than their foreign counterparts. European technologies and equipment are used in the production of fiber optic cable. STP is the only manufacturer of these products in the country.
About 10,000 kinds of cable are produced at the STP's base. The enterprise's production capacity of is about 20,000 tons per year.
