Fourteen more new seismic stations will be installed in Azerbaijan in 2018, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told Trend Dec. 27.
The stations will be installed within the project to study big depths and seismotectonic features of the Greater Caucasus region.
"The project will be implemented until 2020,” the center said. “Scholars from Georgia and the US are involved in the project. Presently, 44 seismic stations are in operation in Azerbaijan. The current stations have been connected to a satellite system.”
