By the end of 2018, a number of Azerbaijani retail facilities will start using mobile terminals (mPOS terminals) to receive contactless payments, a source in the electronic payment market told Trend.
The main advantage of a mobile terminal for contactless payments is its compact size. The software of the mPOS terminal allows to keep records of the performed operations and create templates for optimizing the payment process.
The mPOS terminals are used to receive payments via credit cards in any place and the only requirement is the presence of mobile network coverage. The device connects to a smartphone using a special app, turning it into a full-fledged payment terminal.
