BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. About 2.66 million tons of both oil and non-oil products were transported through the Persian Gulf Port of Hormuzgan Province (southern Iran), during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Director General of Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime Department Hossein Abbasnejad said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

According to Abbasnejad, about 2 million tons of oil products by 433 ships, and 664,000 tons of minerals by 815 ships were exported through Persian Gulf Port in 6 months.

“Furthermore, 69,200 tons of oil products were transited, as well as 81,800 tons were cabotaged through the mentioned port for the reporting period,” he added.

The director general noted that gasoline, diesel, mazut, bitumen, white oil, etc. were the main transported oil products.

Abbasnejad also said that there are 16 berths for loading and unloading oil products and 9 berths for loading and unloading non-oil products in the Persian Gulf port.
