BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at the ports of Iran’s Bushehr Province increased by 18.1 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2023), Director General of Bushehr Province’s Ports and Maritime Department Mohammad Shakibinasab said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
More than 54.4 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at the ports of the Bushehr Province in the last Iranian year, the director general added.
“Of the mentioned volume, over 45 million tons accounted for crude oil and related products, while approximately 9.33 million tons for non-oil products,” he noted.
Shakibinasab said that at the same time, 207,000 TEU containers were loaded and unloaded at the province’s ports within the last Iranian year, which is an increase of 5.3 percent compared to the preceding year.
There are several main ports, including Bushehr, Kharg, Genaveh, Dayyer, Asaluyeh, and others operating in Iran’s Bushehr Province.
