Kazakh Kcell’s finance indicators go down

The finance indicators of Kazakhstan's Kcell company, a leading operator in Kazakh telecommunication market, declined in the first quarter of 2016, said the company's report posted on the website of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

Net profit of Kcell decreased by 49.9 percent - to 6.63 billion Kazakh tenges in January-March 2016.

The company's operating profit (excluding non-recurring expenses) decreased by 45.9 percent - to 9.4 billion tenges.

The revenues of the company fell by 17.7 percent - to 35.47 billion tenges during the reporting period.

Kcell's revenues from services fell by 15.7 percent and amounted to 33.51 billion tenges.

Net volume of the company's sale decreased by 17.7 percent and totaled 35.47 billion tenges. Cost of sales decreased by 1.9 percent and totaled 20.73 billion tenges due to the lower cost of the sold products.

CAPEX ratio of sales was 82.2 percent in January-March 2016 versus 4.9 percent in the same period of 2015.

Kcell's total subscriber base decreased by 502,000 and was 9.86 million users in 1Q2016.
