BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached $1.4 billion from January through April 2022, which is an increase of 14.9 percent compared to the same period last year ($1.2 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Export of goods and services from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan during this period increased by 8.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($337.7 million), reaching $366.5 million.
From January through April 2022, imports from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan increased by 17.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($887.1 million), reaching $1 billion.
At the same time, 191,400 tons of fruits and vegetables worth $57.2 million were exported from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan from January through April 2022.
During this period, Uzbekistan exported textile products to Kazakhstan in the amount of $17.7 million.
