BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. Russia plans to transport oil through Kazakhstan to China over the next 11 years, Trend reports via the relevant document at the government's portal.
According to the document, Russia will be able to transport 10 million tons of oil to China through Kazakh oil pipelines until 2034.
The draft agreement states that the cost of transportation of oil in the amount of 10 million tons per year is $2,1 per ton and is paid in Kazakh tenge. Such transport costs and calculation shall be established in the relevant transport contract and shall not be subject to change during the term of this agreement.
Earlier, Russia's Rosneft and Kazakhstan have extended the agreement on the transit of Russian oil to China for another 10 years. The agreement provides for the transportation of 10 million tons of oil per year to the Chinese CNPC. The transit tariff is $15 per ton.
Almassadam Satkaliyev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, said yesterday that Kazakhstan is considering the prospects for transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan.
"Currently, we are in talks on the possibilities of launching the transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan. The negotiations are going on in a constructive way. There is no information available yet on the volumes considered," he said.
