ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 6. To increase the volume of exports of IT services to $1 billion by 2026, Kazakhstan plans to open IT hubs in the countries of Southeast Asia and the Middle East, Trend reports.
This was stated at a meeting of the government of Kazakhstan.
Among other matters discussed at the meeting were was the development of artificial intelligence field.
Also, to increase the attractiveness of the industry and encourage domestic and foreign investors to venture financing, it is planned to introduce legislative amendments. They will also be aimed at attracting investment in the construction of large data centers by creating favorable conditions for investors.
In order to develop an integral IT ecosystem in the country, the issue of opening technology hubs following the example of Astana Hub in the regions will be worked out.
As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on September 1, Kazakhstan plans to increase the export of IT services to $1 billion by 2026. As he noted, this will be facilitated by the opening of joint ventures with large foreign IT companies.
