"Kyrgyzstan pays little attention to preventive medicine," the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev said at the celebration of Medical Workers' Day on Monday, "24.kg" reported.
As to the president, a lot of citizens turn to doctors only in the most extreme cases when disease is already neglected. "Some of them prefer nontraditional treatments," Bakiev said.
The Health Care Ministry has to intensify explanatory work among population. "Besides, it is necessary to form mobile medical teams for examination of citizens and taking preventive measures," the president added.
