The OSCE calls voter lists as the main problem of the elections in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG quotes the OSCE Observation Mission Special Co-ordinator Walburga Habsburg Douglas as saying on Sunday.

"There are problems with voter lists in many polling stations in Bishkek and Chui region that we visited. The OSCE Observation Mission revealed the facts when some voters could find their names in voter lists," Douglas said.

"However, serious violations that do not comply with the law on presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan has not yet revealed" he added.

Presidential elections started in Kyrgyzstan at 8:00 local time on Sunday.
Under the new Constitution, the President of Kyrgyzstan is elected for six years and only one term.

Some 2,289 polling stations, as well as 29 polling stations in 23 countries will operate to hold the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan.

To date, the country registered a little over 3 million voters.

The elections are being observed by 792 international observers from 56 countries.
