BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. The gas tariff for the population in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 17.3 soms ($0.20) per 1 cubic meter, which is a decrease of 3.8 percent compared to the same month of 2021 (18 soms, or $0.21), Trend reports via akchabar.kg.
Gas tariff for industrial enterprises, commercial structures and budgetary organizations of Kyrgyzstan in July also decreased by 3.6 percent compared to the same month of last year (21.7 soms, or $0.26) - up to 20.9 soms ($0.25).
"In August 2022, gas tariffs for the population of Kyrgyzstan are set at 17.1 soms ($0.20), and for industrial enterprises - 21.6 soms ($0.26)," the message says.
Meanwhile, the largest enterprise of Kyrgyzstan in the oil and gas industry, Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC, plans to open new gas fields by 2025 and keep gas production at the level of 30 million cubic meters per year.
