BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased Turkmen-made gasoline during trading on February 13 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
Businessmen from Afghanistan purchased 100,000 tons of ECO-93 brand gasoline on the exchange at a price of $910 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was over $91 million.
At the same time, according to the exchange, on February 7, 2023, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 5,000 tons of liquefied gas for a total of $ 2.7 million.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. The country pays great attention to the construction of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
For example, the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex located in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan produced over 1.5 million tons of gasoline in 2022, exceeding the plan by 13.7 percent.
