Uzbek, Chinese FMs mull issues of bilateral relations

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is on an official visit to Beijing, has met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a message on Feb.7.
The parties discussed key issues of bilateral relations, as well as implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in May 2017 and his negotiations with the Chinese leadership.
The ministers paid special attention to the agenda of the forthcoming international conference on Afghanistan to be held in Tashkent on the joint initiative of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
The parties also considered other issues of mutual interest.
In Beijing, Kamilov is expected to meet heads of a number of ministries and departments, where it is planned to discuss the prospects for further activating of the Uzbek-Chinese dialogue in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, and also to exchange views on regional and international issues.
