Uzbekistan’s Thermal Power Plants JSC will implement several major investment projects in 2022-2026, Trend reports citing the press service of the company.
In particular, it is planned to construct and put into operation:
-Two combined-cycle plants at the Talimarjan thermal power plant with a total capacity of at least 900 MW in 2024;
- Two combined-cycle plants with a capacity of 650 MW for each one at the Navoi thermal power plant in 2024-2025;
- Two gas turbines with a capacity of 32 MW for each one at the Tashkent combined heat and power plant in 2023.
As a result, an additional 2,264 MW of capacity will be added to the energy system of the country and 18 billion kWh of electricity will be generated per year.
