BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 5. Uzbekistan plans to expand the number of solar panels installed in medical facilities in 2023, Trend reports via press services of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Public Health.
According to the source, 425 solar panels with a power of 2,352 kW have already been purchased, of which 375 are for clinics of mahalla (local self-government, variation of a municipality) and 50 are for family health stations.
New panels are expected to be installed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2023.
Furthermore, in 2023, it is planned to increase the number of solar panels in medical facilities to 1,008.
To date, 124 kW solar panels and solar water heaters with a capacity of 4,400 liters have been installed in 107 medical establishments.
