BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. Hududgaztaminot JSC has installed solar panels with a total capacity of 10 kW on the rooftops of the administrative building in the company’s branch in the Andijan region, Trend reports via the company’s statement.
Hududgaztaminot JSC is responsible for the operation of gas distribution networks and the supply of natural and liquefied gas to the population of Uzbekistan.
The company’s message says that the newly installed panels will fully cover the organization's annual need for electricity. As a result, 3,500 – 40,000 kWh of electricity will be saved annually.
The country’s authorities pay special attention to boosting renewables deployment countrywide. In this regard, the number of solar panels installed on buildings and structures of social facilities and economic entities will be expanded.
The abovementioned measures are taken within the framework of the Uzbek President's "On measures to accelerate the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in 2023" Resolution.
Recently, Uzbekistan installed solar panels with a total capacity of 1.2 MW on the territory of the Mubarek thermal power plant (TPP). The newly installed panels will generate an additional 2 million kWh of electricity per year, and save 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
