TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 12. Volume of sales in Uzbekistan’s passenger car market increased in August 2023, compared to August 2022, Trend reports.
The analysis of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) has shown that in August 2023, sales of passenger cars increased by 2.3 percent and amounted to 135,000, which is 24 percent more than in the same period last year. The largest growth was recorded in the regions of Khorezm (17 percent), Jizzakh (12 percent) and Syrdarya (11 percent).
The review of the automobile market in Uzbekistan is one of the research areas of CERR, which presents the dynamics of activity in both the primary and secondary automotive markets. The data is presented both for the reporting month and for the same period last year to track market dynamics.
Uzbekistan automotive sector has demonstrated significant growth with the production of approximately 200,000 cars from January through July 2023. Currently, UzAuto Motors exports cars to countries such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, etc.
