IRI First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, atop a high ranking political-economic delegation, here Wednesday night met a conferred with Iraq's President Jalal Talabani, stressing need for strengthening comprehensive relations.
According to the IRNA, during the Rahimi-Talabani talks at the Presidential Palace of Baghdad the two sides discussed bilateral ties, as well as the most significant regional and international developments of the day.
Rahimi arrived in Baghdad Wednesday morning and was received by Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maleki, with whom he held his first round of talks later on in the day.
The Iranian First Vice President then met and conferred with a number of other Iraqi top officials, including the Iraqi Parliament Speaker and the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs.
