Iran's Ambassador to Russia Reza Sajjadi, in a meeting with special envoy of Russian president in the Middle East Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov on Wednesday, underlined peaceful settlement of Egypts problems, IRNA reported.
The two sides also discussed important issues of the Middle East and North Africa.
The two senior diplomats said the problem that Egyptian society is facing with should be settled in the framework of national dialogue and without violence.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday also expressed concern over developments in Egypt and called for ending undesirable events in that country.
Talking with reporters, Lavrov asked Egyptian political groups to secure national reconciliation.
