1,300 Iranian enterprises return to production turnover

Over the past year, about 1,300 industrial enterprises have returned to production in Iran, said Mohsen Salehinia, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade and head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to Salehinia, currently 43,000 production facilities operate in Iranian industrial parks, and 45 percent of the total employment is linked to these industrial enterprises.

"Some 95 percent of sales are realized by small and medium-sized enterprises. 50 percent of exports and 70 percent of employment are also attributed to these enterprises," he said.

Last week, the head of ISIPO said that 20 percent of industrial facilities faced a crisis, with a less than 50 percent output from 30 percent of the enterprises, along with 20 percent of the enterprises having a 50-70 percent output, and the rest with over 70 percent of output.
