Iran's imports via its Kurdistan province decreases

In the first six months (March 21, Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's imports via the customs of its Kurdistan province decreased by 9 percent in monetary terms, compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, Director General of Kurdistan Customs Administration Bakhtiyar Rahmanipour said, Trend reports via IRNA.

During the reported period, Iran imported 10,900 tons of goods for $19.8 million via borders of Kurdistan province, Rahmanipour said.

He added that the imports decreased by 65 percent in terms of weight.

During the reported period, Iran imported 591 tons of goods for $8.1 million via Sanandaj customs of Kurdistan province, he said.

He further added that in the first six months of the current Iranian year, the country imported 10,400 tons of goods for $11.7 million via the Bashmaq customs of its Kurdistan province.

Main imported goods were equipment and mechanical tools ($9 million), rubber products ($1 million), electrical equipment ($960,000) and chemical products ($507,000), Rahmanipour said.

The mentioned products were mainly imported from Iraq, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany and Austria.
