TEHRAN, Iran, July 29
Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami announced that the most important action of the ministry was to eliminate the unacceptable issue of suburb settlement, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Another axis of our actions is implementation of deprivation projects,” the Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"I believe that we can start deprivation in the housing sector, carry out the infrastructure reform. I believe that we can do lasting work for the people, even in a short period of time,” said the minister.
"We are committed to provide housing for deprived people in cooperation with other institutions,” said Eslami.
Pointing to the suburb settlement issue he said that "in order to eliminate the suburb settlement problem, certain solutions have to be put on agenda, to provide suitable housing for the people.
Eslami went on to mention the asphalt roads in deprived areas, noting the the rural infrastructure should be expanded.
He said the ministry has located the deprived areas and is already working to improving infrastructure there.
