Iran, Brazil to develop cooperation in mining sector - Iran Mining House

TEHRAN, Iran, Aug. 9

Iran and Brazil are looking to develop cooperation in the mining sector, head of Iran Mining House Mohammadreza Bahraman told Trend.

"The two countries have high capacity to develop cooperation in the mining sector, especially regarding investments, and the supply of machinery," he said.

Referring to the recent visit of a Brazilian delegation to the Iranian Mining House, Bahraman said Iran presented the opposing side with a report on Iran's geological resources.

In return, Brazilian delegation presented a full report on their activities and the country's mining law.”

Bahraman pointed out that it was decided that the Brazilian delegation sends the new written law regarding the mines of this country to the Iranian Mining House.

Referring to the Brazil's significant mining activity, he said that more than 200,000 mines had been auctioned off in the country over the past year.

"During the mentioned meeting, it was decided to prepare a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries regarding technical issues, supply of machinery, and attracting investments," he said.

He said that the Iran emphasized on boosting cooperation between the two sides, with a focus on using the private sector capabilities.
