Stable Situation Observed in Tbilisi

Georgia, Tbilisi, 12 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / As for 12 August, a stable situation is observed in Tbilisi. In spite of the strain situation, all organizations including transport are active.

Neither land nor air attacks had been observed at night.

The Georgian militaries control entrance into the country.

The national meeting is scheduled for 3:00p.m before the Georgian Parliament. President Mikhail Saakashvili called upon to stage the meeting. Saakashvili stated that the meeting must demonstrate other countries that "Georgia is united to keep its independence and freedom".

An emergency meeting is scheduled for 1.00p.m in Parlaiment. Georgian President is expected to deliver a speech at the meeting.
