When implementing the national foreign political strategy the Chinese government lays hopes on the strengthening of the UN’s positions and the development of other effective mechanisms of multilateral cooperation, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang said on Tuesday, Trend reports referring to TASS.
"We will firmly support the multilateral principles of cooperation through multilateral mechanisms, the key role among which belongs to the UN," he noted in a report at the opening of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC). "China is actively participating in the reforming and improvement of the system of global management and firmly protecting the world open economy, contributing to the development of a human society with a common fate."
According to the prime minister, Beijing is ready to actively work on new constructive projects and initiatives which will make it possible to solve many international problems and overcome a number of regional challenges. "The economic globalization is going through difficult times: the multilateral principles of cooperation were damaged, and there is instability on global financial markets, especially in the conditions of the Chinese-American trade-economic disagreements which negatively affect the commercial and production activity of companies and the market’s expectations," Li Keqiang stressed.
The prime minister noted that Beijing has all the chances to overcome the existing difficulties thanks to the long-term elaborated strategy designed under the management of the Communist Party of China.
