In the first half of 2019, 37,845 tenders by 6,930 structures were held in Turkey, Trend reports referring to the Turkish State Privatization Authority.
In January-June this year, 5,243 tenders were held in Turkey in the construction sector, 22,204 tenders regarding procurement of goods, 10,281 in the services sector and 117 tenders in attracting consulting services.
“Some 5,146 tenders were canceled before the announcement of the results,” reads the report.
The total value of the tenders for the reporting period amounted to 67.1 billion liras.
“In January-July 2019, the Turkish Presidential Administration announced 21 tenders for 28.5 million liras, the Turkish Parliament - 9 tenders for 43.6 million liras, the Foreign Ministry - 5 tenders for 10.2 million liras, the Ministry of Healthcare – 4,600 tenders for 10.4 billion liras, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources - 2 tenders for 1.5 million liras, provincial municipalities – 7,800 tenders totaling 16.6 billion liras,” said the report.
