In October 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Georgia through Turkish ports amounted to 2.2 million tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The ministry noted that in October 2019, no cargo transshipment by ships flying the Georgian flag was carried out through the Turkish ports.

“In October 2019, the volume of transshipment of goods from Georgia by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 1.3 million tons, and by ships flying the Turkish flag - 896,668 tons.

During the reporting period, 1.7 million tons of cargo were transshipped from Georgia in transit through the Turkish ports, the ministry said.

In October 2019, Turkish ports received 5,126 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 69.8 million tons.

In the reporting period, 1,852 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 3,274 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

In October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 10.5 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 59.2 million tons.

From January through October 2019, Turkish ports received 46,607 vessels, the gross tonnage of which amounted to 660.7 million tons.

In the reporting period, 17,853 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 28,754 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.

From January through October 2019, the gross tonnage of vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 99.1 million tons, and vessels flying the flags of other countries – 561.5 million tons.
