Azerbaijan's 1Q2021 import of Turkish cement slightly down in value

Value of cement exported from Turkey to Azerbaijan decreased by 2.8 percent in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, having made up slightly over $8 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Apr.7.

According to the ministry, in March 2021 Turkey exported cement worth over $3.2 million to Azerbaijan, which is 23.9 percent more than in March of last year.

From January through March of this year, the total value of Turkey’s cement export to global markets exceeded $1 billion, growing by 10.8 percent in annual terms.

In March 2021, Turkey exported cement worth over $403.1 million abroad, up by 57.7 percent compared to the same month of 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from March 2020 through March 2021), Turkey exported cement in the amount of more than $3.8 billion.
