( Cihan ) - Ross Wilson, US Ambassador to Turkey claimed that the United States were not aiding Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in eastern Turkey.

Wilson spoke on the weekend and said that the claims were being investigated and stressed that the US was not working with PKK or supplying weapons to it.

"Why shall we supply weapons to an organization that we designate as a terrorist group?" said Wilson for the press.

The ambassador confirmed that Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul gave him a dossier on the US-made weapons that PKK uses and said that the embassy was looking into that report and taking it seriously

Wilson said he was upset by the claims, adding that the reason for PKK defectors making such claims could be to harm ties between Turkey and the U.S.

Recently, four PKK terrorists, who surrendered to Turkish security forces after escaping from a PKK camp in northern Iraq, claimed they had seen two U.S. armored vehicles deliver weapons to the PKK in their camp on Kandili Mountain.
